How we collect, use, and protect your personal data

Atlas Metalwork S.R.L. respects the privacy of your personal data and is committed to protecting it in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national law.

2. Data we collect
We collect personal data that you provide directly (for example through the contact form) and technical data generated automatically during your visit.
- Contact data: name, email address, phone number, company name — when you fill out the contact form or send us an email.
- Communication content: messages sent through the form or via other channels.
- Technical data: IP address (anonymized), browser type, operating system, pages visited, session duration — collected only if you accepted analytics cookies.
3. Purpose of processing
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries and quote requests (legal basis: pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To improve the performance and content of the site through aggregated statistical analyses (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- To comply with applicable legal obligations (legal basis: legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
4. Retention period
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Data from contact forms is kept for a maximum of 24 months from the last interaction. Anonymized analytics data is kept for up to 24 months.
5. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the site (hosting, analytics), bound by contracts imposing confidentiality obligations.
- Competent authorities, when required by law.
Some services we use (e.g. Google Analytics) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. In these cases, we ensure the transfer complies with the safeguards provided by GDPR (standard contractual clauses).

- Right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP): dataprotection.ro.

7. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction: encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to personal data, system monitoring, and regular security updates.
